
(Patria) - At the 32nd session of the Transport and Communications Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, letters from the BHRT General Director dated 1 August 2025 and 29 August 2025 regarding the situation in the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina were considered.
Also considered were a letter from the Chairman of the BHRT Management Board concerning the expiration of mandates of members of the BHRT Management Board and the BHRT General Director, as well as a letter from the Chairman of the BHRT Management Board and the Chairwoman of the Management Board of RTV Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the adjustment of the RTV fee amount in line with the official inflation rate.
In connection with these letters, the Commission adopted a conclusion to request from the House of Representatives of the PA BiH a debate on the situation in BHRT and proposes that the House adopt the following conclusions:
‣ that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina be requested to, within one month, allocate funds from the current reserve for payment of BHRT's debt to Elektroprivreda BiH and BH Gas;
‣ that an urgent request be sent to the Council of the Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina to adopt a decision on adjusting the RTV fee amount in line with the official inflation rate.
The Commission also expressed the expectation that the House of Peoples of the PA BiH, after the House of Representatives has done so, will appoint members of the new BHRT Management Board as soon as possible.
Regarding the response from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) to the conclusion of the 31st Commission session dated 25 July 2025, the Commission requested from BHANSA a complete response to all questions from the Commission's conclusion, and insists that BHANSA management act in accordance with the Law on Parliamentary Oversight of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Commission also adopted a conclusion to hold a thematic session on the situation in the electricity sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to invite representatives of all relevant institutions in this field to that session.
The petition of Jure Jurica Lovrić dated 4 July 2025 was noted and will be forwarded to the Commission for Decision on Conflict of Interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
From the session agenda, due to the absence of the relevant minister, the following agenda items were removed:
‣ consideration of the response of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the conclusions of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH (adopted within the debate on the Report on the public hearing of the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina);
‣ consideration of the Information of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the implementation of conclusions from the 27th session of the Transport and Communications Commission of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH.
