Finance and Budget Commission of the BiH House of Representatives: Only Kraljević attended the public hearing, Amidžić and Vidović did not show up

(Patria) - By hearing Toni Kraljević, a member of the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Finance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Commission for Finance and Budget of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) concluded today the public hearing of the Chairman and members of the ITA BiH Management Board.

Commission members expressed regret that the Chairman of the ITA BiH Management Board and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Srđan Amidžić, and the member of the ITA BiH Management Board and Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska, Zora Vidović, did not attend today's continuation of the public hearing.

The subject of the public hearing was information and facts regarding the (non)implementation of legal and by-laws in the work of the ITA BiH, and the goal of the public hearing was to determine why the ITA BiH Management Board did not realize the initiative of the House of Representatives of PABiH, which requests the Management Board to engage an independent external audit firm as soon as possible to review the work of the Administration, and to determine why the ITA BiH does not act in accordance with the legal and by-laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina and why the recommendations of the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH are not being implemented.

As announced after the conclusion of the public hearing by the Chairperson of the Commission for Finance and Budget of the House of Representatives of PABiH, Mia Karamehić-Abazović, the Commission will consider the Report on the conducted public hearing of the members of the ITA BiH Management Board at its next session. The Commission will, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law on Parliamentary Oversight, also take necessary steps, bearing in mind the results of the hearing, as well as the non-appearance at the hearing of the Chairman of the ITA BiH Management Board and the member of the ITA BiH Management Board.
