Commission to discuss Oleg Čavka's letter on Mehmedagić's diploma today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Joint Commission for Oversight of the OSA's work is meeting in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina today at 1:00 PM. Afterwards, more information may become known about the letter from prosecutor Oleg Čavka, who is leading the investigation regarding the diploma of Osman Mehmedagić, director of the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As confirmed to Patria on Thursday, January 30, a letter arrived at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed to the Joint Commission for Oversight of the OSA's work and to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija.

It lists all the suspicions the prosecutor has and has confirmed through the investigation, related to the fake diploma of Osman Mehmedagić. Incidentally, due to Mehmedagić's appointment at the state level, all other appointments have been blocked. The condition that he must be the director of the OSA was given by the SDA as an ultimatum to the SNSD, otherwise, there would be no appointment of Darko Ćulum as the head of SIPA.

It is definite that the directors of SIPA and OSA will be elected as a package, which is a nonsensical arrangement of the SDA-SNSD-HDZ-DF and SBB coalition. The HDZ is silent because SIPA is currently managed by their man, Đuro Knežević, the deputy with all the powers of the director.

The SNSD is in a stalemate. Mehmedagić, after his higher education diploma was annulled in the RS, and while the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is seriously dealing with the case, has a problem with competence.

Additionally, the appointment is being negotiated in consultation with the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Milorad Dodik, who previously declared the OSA led by Mehmedagić a "hostile organization for the Republika Srpska," is involved.

The Joint Commission for Oversight of the work of the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA), chaired by Nermin Nikšić (SDP), also includes Safet Softić (SDA), Nenad Stevandić (US), Predrag Kožul (HDZ), Mirko Šarović (SDS), Zlatan Begić (DF), Asim Sarajlić (SDA), Nikola Špirić (SNSD), Sredoje Nović (SNSD), Bariša Čolak (HDZ), Marina Pendeš (HDZ), and Munib Jusufović (SBB).
