Comedian John Cleese to receive Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award

Legendary British comedian John Cleese arrived in Sarajevo on Tuesday evening, and today he will be presented with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for his exceptional contribution to film art at the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival. After the award ceremony, the audience will have the opportunity to watch the cult film A Fish Called Wanda as part of the Open Air program, the SFF organization announced, reports Patria agency.

John Cleese is best known for his contributions and roles in the comedy series MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS and FAWLTY TOWERS, as well as the feature films MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN, and A FISH CALLED WANDA.

In addition to his work in comedy, Cleese, together with Sir Antony Jay, founded the business training company Video Arts, which produced over 120 training videos over a 20-year period and became the largest company of its kind outside the US.

Furthermore, Cleese, along with esteemed psychiatrist Dr. Robin Skynner, wrote two books, "Families and How to Survive Them" and "Life and How to Survive It," which became bestsellers, addressing psychology, psychiatry, and their application in life.

Cleese is a visiting professor at Cornell University.
