Commemoration and burial of Srebrenica mother Hajra Ćatić in Srebrenica

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Today, a commemoration will be held, and the funeral prayer and burial of one of the deceased Srebrenica mothers, Hajra Ćatić, will take place.

This mother searched for the remains of her son Nino Ćatić until her last day. Nino, a journalist, warned on July 10, 1995, about the tragedy that was brewing for Srebrenica if it did not receive help. The world did not hear his plea, and mother Hajra last saw him on July 11. He was only 26 years old. After 26 years of grief and pain, mother Hajra's heart could no longer bear it. She has gone to join her Nino.

- 12:00 PM Dhuhr prayer – Čaršija Mosque in Srebrenica
- 12:20 PM Funeral prayer in front of the Čaršija Mosque in Srebrenica
- 1:00 PM Burial at the Komarčevo cemetery in Srebrenica

A book of condolences will be available in the lobby of the Cultural Center in Srebrenica on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 9:00 AM.
