Commemoration for Edin Avdić on Monday at the National Theatre, same day funeral at Bare

(Patria) - The City of Sarajevo, led by Mayor Samir Avdić, is organizing a commemorative session on the occasion of the death of prominent basketball journalist and sports commentator Edin Avdić.

The commemoration will be held on Monday at the National Theatre starting at 11 AM, with entry for all citizens and admirers of his work allowed from 10 AM to 10:45 AM.

The book of condolences will be open on Monday and Tuesday in the Vijećnica atrium, from 9 AM to 5 PM, so that citizens can write their final messages and bid farewell to Avdić.

The funeral and burial will take place on the same day at the Bare City Cemetery, where family, friends, colleagues, and numerous admirers will see Edin Avdić off to his eternal rest.

With the passing of Edin Avdić, Bosnian-Herzegovinian and regional sports journalism has lost one of its most recognizable and respected names, whose voice, professionalism, and dedication to sports will be permanently remembered.
