SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A commemoration on the occasion of the death of journalist Dejan Anastasijević was held today in Belgrade.
He was always on the side of justice, truth, and the oppressed, said his long-time friend and colleague Filip Švarm, editor-in-chief of the weekly "Vreme", today.
Švarm added that Anastasijević's career was impressive and that he received the greatest journalistic recognition, which is that the audience loved him.
As he said, Anastasijević did not falter despite all the threats and assassination attempts and continued to work.
Aleksandar Vasović from Radio B92 said that Anastasijević "wrote accurately and didn't care for politicians or butchers".
Letters from journalists from Kosovo and the British Ambassador Denis Keefe were also read.
Anastasijević was cremated today at the New Cemetery in Belgrade.
