(Patria) - Due to three blocked trucks, traffic has been suspended at the Rostovo mountain pass (Novi Travnik-Bugojno).
Due to river overflow, the Nevesinje-Gacko main road is also closed for traffic.
In western Bosnia, snow is falling and accumulating on all road routes, making traffic difficult. Across all mountain passes in this part of the country, trucks over 7.5 tonnes must put on chains.
On most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina this morning, traffic is moving on wet pavement, and due to freezing rain that fell overnight, we also warn of icy sections in places. We particularly draw attention to sections in southwestern Bosnia, in the wider Livno and Glamoč areas.
Due to the weight of the snow, reports of fallen trees and branches on the roadway are frequent. Also, we draw attention to rockfalls on the road, as well as reduced visibility due to fog.
Meteorologists' forecasts are not optimistic until the end of this week, so we ask drivers to plan their journeys in accordance with the weather situation. Be extremely cautious. Do not set out on the road without winter equipment. Drive slower, protect your life as well as the lives of other traffic participants.
On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, while for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, traffic remains suspended.
Due to frequent water overflow onto the roadway on the Stolac-Domanovići-Tasovčići main road, additional warning and restriction traffic signs have been installed. We ask drivers to adjust their driving to road conditions.
Due to winter driving conditions in the Republic of Croatia, at the Izačić border crossing, there is a ban on traffic for trucks with trailers and semi-trailers. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is currently flowing with delays of up to 30 minutes.
Due to Orthodox Christmas, from today at 12:00 until tomorrow, 07.01.2026, until midnight, the transport of explosive materials on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is prohibited.
Due to passenger registration under the new system for entering and leaving European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Since 2.12.2025, the Karakaj border crossing has been open for all vehicle categories. At the Šepak border crossing, traffic is banned for all trucks.
