(Patria) - Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are mostly wet and slippery. Due to frequent landslides, we highlight the following roads: Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Crna Rijeka-Jajce, Bugojno-Kupres, Kladanj-Vlasenica, Simin Han-Banj Brdo, Srebrenik-Šićki Brod-Olovo, Ribnica-Banovići, Mostar-Doljani, Buna-Masline and Višegrad-Vardište, as well as the Rostovo pass (Novi Travnik-Bugojno), Mlinište pass (Glamoč-Mrkonjić Grad) and Makljen pass (Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje).
Additionally, over the Borova Glava pass (Šuica-Livno), we warn of frequent wild horse crossings onto the road.
On the Srbac-Derventa main road, traffic is suspended due to the laying of the final asphalt layer, and vehicles are being rerouted via Srbac-Prnjavor-Derventa.
Due to mine clearance work on the Ustiprača-Goražde main road (at the quarry site), traffic is partially suspended for half an hour each working day between 09:00 and 15:00.
Landslide remediation is underway in Sijeračke Stijene on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where traffic is suspended for up to 45 minutes between 08:00 and 17:00.
Due to the repair of an active landslide on the Ostrožac–Buturović Polje regional road, traffic is temporarily suspended. Alternative routes are in operation and are recommended until the work is completed.
Work is also ongoing on sections of the A-1 motorway Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever and Visoko-Kakanj, as well as on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Zavidovići-Vozuća (in Krivaja), Klašnice-Banja Luka, Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Jablanica-Blidinje (Jablanica-Kosne Luke), Konjic-Jablanica (Ostrožac), Bileća-Trebinje (at Žudojevići), Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), Mostar-Čitluk (at the entrance to Čitluk) and at the entrance to Neum.
Waiting times for passenger vehicles at border crossings are short.
Due to passenger registration under the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight is prohibited at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are rerouted to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends, they can cross between 22:00 and 06:00).
We remind drivers that as of November 1st, winter equipment is mandatory on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
