(Patria) - Due to the upcoming May Day holidays, traffic intensity has increased. The biggest traffic jams were recorded on the Sarajevo-Mostar main road, at border crossings towards the south, as well as near urban areas. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and to monitor the situation at border crossings via cameras available on the BIHAMK website.

There are vehicle columns at Bradina, and traffic jams are also expected in the late afternoon hours.

Due to regular maintenance of the Bosna tunnel, the A-1 motorway section Nemila-Golubinja is closed. Traffic is diverted to the M-17 main road.

Road repair works are underway on the A-1 motorway section Kakanj-Lašva, due to which the left side of the motorway is closed for 3 km, and vehicles are directed to use the opposite side of the motorway in both directions.

On the A-1 motorway sections Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi and Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica, traffic is diverted to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.

Movement of all vehicles over the bridge on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads over Grepak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of gravel road), while trucks must use the roads via Rogatica and Ustiprača.

On the Tuzla-Bijeljina main road (Banj Brdo), vehicles up to 3.5 tons travel in one lane, alternately, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

On the M-5 main road, Izačić-Bihać border crossing, bridge reconstruction works over the Mrižnica stream are being carried out. Vehicles are diverted to a temporary bypass in the immediate vicinity of the works, with alternating passage.

Increased vehicle traffic is observed at the entrance to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Orašje and Brod border crossings, while there are long columns at the exit from our country at the Doljani, Bijača, and Gabela Polje border crossings. We are recording delays in both directions at the Gradiška and Gradina border crossings. At other border crossings, passenger vehicles are currently not waiting longer than 30 minutes.

Due to the registration of passengers under the new European Union entry and exit system (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
