Three-kilometer-long queue: Two-hour wait at BiH border crossing

Due to intermittent rainfall in most of our country, roads are intermittently wet, with the exception of roads in the south of our country where the road is predominantly dry.

Regular maintenance works are being carried out on the A-1 highway on the Sarajevo West-Tarčin and Sarajevo North-Butile sections. We appeal to drivers to adjust their driving to the announced works.

On the M-4.2 Velika Kladuša-Bihać main road in the village of Donji Purići, due to landmine clearance, traffic will be halted for half an hour between 08:00 and 16:00, with traffic allowed to pass for 15 minutes.

Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the main roads Doboj-Gračanica, Bugojno-Novi Travnik, Čelinac-Kotor Varoš, Čapljina-Stolac, and Brod na Drini-GP Hum, as well as the M-5 main road transit through Sarajevo.

According to information from the BiH Border Police, there is an approximately 2-hour wait at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing upon entering our country (a queue of vehicles about 3 km long). At the Ivanica border crossing on exit from BiH (i.e., entry into Croatia), there is an approximately 1 hour and 40-minute wait. At the Doljani border crossing, waiting times to cross the border in both directions range from 1 hour (exit) to 1.5 hours (entry). At the Bosanski Brod border crossing upon entering our country, there is an approximately 40-minute wait, while at other crossings, delays are currently no longer than 20 minutes. Due to works in Croatia, a traffic ban for trucks is in effect at the Brčko-Gunja border crossing.
