Kolinda Grabar Kitarović met with whistles and partisan songs in Istria

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović was met with whistles at the ceremonial assembly of the Istria County in Pazin, reports the Patria agency.

Grabar-Kitarović attended the commemoration of the 74th anniversary of the adoption of the Pazin Decisions on the unification of Istria with Croatia and the 70th anniversary of the Paris Peace Conference.

When the Croatian President mentioned the contribution of Catholic priests to the international confirmation of the Pazin Decisions, representatives of anti-fascist associations reacted strongly.

The President of Croatia reminded that it was in Istria that the first victims of fascism in Europe fell and that the first anti-fascist movement developed there.

- Every Istrian patriot was an anti-fascist, regardless of ideological affiliation, and the Catholic clergy made a special contribution to this people's struggle for freedom - emphasized the President of Croatia, after which discontent and heckling from members of the anti-fascist struggle SAB were heard in the hall of the Pazin Memorial Home.

However, they applauded loudly and shouted his name at every mention of Josip Broz Tito.

After the end of the speech, the Croatian President was seen off from the hall by anti-fascists with partisan songs.

Unlike the current Croatian president, former president Stipe Mesić was welcomed with great applause.
