How much of Corridor Vc has been built and when is the end expected: Hungary completed works, Croatia finishing in 2025, longest route in BiH

(Patria) - The construction of the entire Corridor Vc has been ongoing for decades. Hrvatske autoceste published a video presenting an overview of the current situation on the entire Corridor Vc through Hungary, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Corridor Vc was defined at a conference held in Helsinki in 1997 and connects the Pannonian Basin, the Danube area, with the central Adriatic. It extends from Budapest through Osijek and Sarajevo to the port of Ploče, writes N1.

As seen in the footage, Hungary has completely finished its corridor, with the last section completed in the spring of this year. A few kilometers remain that have not been opened to traffic, towards the border with Croatia, because the construction of the Croatian part of the corridor is awaited.

In Croatia, 83.6 km have been built up to Svilaj, i.e., the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and five kilometers towards the border with Hungary remain. The section is currently under construction and the works are expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.

Slightly more than a third of Corridor Vc in BiH has been built, but it is emphasized that the corridor through BiH is also the longest with the most challenging terrain.

"The completion of Corridor Vc cannot be predicted," state HAK (Hrvatske autoceste).
