SDA Collegium: Candidate for Mayor of Srebrenica in Agreement with Other Pro-Bosniak Parties

At today's session of the SDA Collegium, information on the work of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the FBiH was discussed. The SDA Collegium is satisfied with the work so far and the achieved results. Confidence and full support were expressed to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, and the Prime Minister of the Government of the FBiH, Fadil Novalić, for the continuation of the initiated integration and reform activities, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Party Collegium reiterated the SDA's firm commitment to preserving and strengthening the coalition with the SBB at all levels of government in BiH, which has made a strong contribution to stabilizing the situation in the country, eliminating the years-long stagnation in the European integration process, and returning our country to the reform course. The SDA believes that the process of implementing the coalition agreement with the SBB should be completed urgently.

The SDA Collegium welcomes the decision of the House of Peoples of the PS BiH to abolish the “white bread” and fully supports the position of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, that through further legal procedure in the PS BiH, the decision to abolish the “white bread” should be incorporated and become part of the final text of the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the Institutions of BiH.

The SDA Collegium calls on the Census Bureau of the Agency for Statistics of BiH to adopt, no later than March 15 this year, a unified program for processing the census data of the Population Census, so that the census results can be published within the legally prescribed deadline by July 1, 2016.

The SDA Collegium gives full support to the Islamic Community of BiH for the activities it is undertaking regarding the closure of the so-called “parallel congregations” and the establishment of order in this area. Committed to respecting fundamental human rights and freedoms, we believe that the time has come to regulate this issue in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the state of BiH. We strongly condemn the threat made to the Grand Mufti Husein ef. Kavazović.

The Collegium discussed the proposed amendments to the Election Law of BiH, and on that occasion, the importance of holding elections in the City of Mostar was emphasized. The SDA will make maximum efforts to find a solution for implementing the Constitutional Court's decision on the City of Mostar and to adopt amendments to the Election Law of BiH that will ensure the holding of elections.

Due to the exceptional importance of Srebrenica, the SDA will, in cooperation with other pro-Bosniak parties, work on an agreement on a joint candidate for municipal mayor and a joint appearance in the upcoming local elections in Srebrenica.
