Kolašinac: I can't wait to step onto the field

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Sead Kolašinac did not play a single match in the Nations League. His last match was a friendly against Senegal, a year ago. The defensive player for the BiH national team eagerly awaited the start of the qualifiers and spoke about his impressions from the gathering.

"I missed this atmosphere, the camaraderie with the players, I missed Biće (Ermin Bičakčić) with whom I share a room, but I also like to see all the other players. I have to say I also missed our food, because I don't have the opportunity to eat Bosnian specialties in London. I can't wait to step onto the field and play for the national team again. I missed all of this, the guys, the fans, the excitement we share."

He arrived at the training camp with a shoulder injury, but he is still training and trying not to think about the pain, believing that everything will be fine when the match starts.

"I had two training sessions, so it was good, only the pitch, due to the rain, wasn't the best."

When asked how he would assess the opponents Armenia and Greece, Kolašinac says that they have more experience with Greece?

"They are a better team than Armenia, however, I think the first match is always important at the start of a new cycle and we must not relax. We have had situations before where we lost to significantly weaker teams, and I think that won't happen with Armenia. Nevertheless, we must be serious and give our best to win. The Greeks have caused us certain problems before, but we are better than them too, so a victory shouldn't be in question if we are 100% dedicated and focused on the game. Besides, starting the qualifiers in front of our fans is always an additional motivation."

How is it to be an Arsenal player?

"Great! I feel good at the club, the style of play suits me and I have integrated well. It's important that I play, the fans recognize my fighting spirit and effort on the field, so I have their support too. London is an exciting city and it's nice to live in it," said Kolašinac for the official website of the Football Association of BiH.
