Collapse in Health Centres of Sarajevo Canton: Information System Down, Everything Electronic Has Stopped

(Patria) - All health centres in Sarajevo Canton have been facing major problems with the information system since last Saturday, making work difficult and certain services impossible.

This was confirmed for Faktor by Arman Šarkić, spokesperson of the Health Centre Sarajevo Canton, stating that since this morning the information system has completely collapsed.

- Both doctors and nurses are having difficulty working in a technical sense. Everything related to the electronic system has stopped since this morning, referrals, prescriptions, laboratory results... - Šarkić emphasised.

According to Šarkić, the company Medit, which maintains the entire information system in this healthcare institution, has been informed about everything.

- Until the system is restored, we have to work on Plan B. The most important thing is that the health condition of patients is not endangered - Šarkić said.
