Kojović: The story about the oldest people is malicious, also towards Croats

(Patria) - Predrag Kojović, president of Our Party, reacted to the claim by Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia.

He says that President Kitarović's claims are not only historically unfounded, but also harmful.

„Calling someone the oldest people, in political discourse, means giving them the right of precedence. Regardless of the length of their presence in BiH, all of its peoples should be equal in rights in every part of our country. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Depending on which ethnonational party rules in which part of BiH, the other two peoples are in an unequal position. The rest are unequal everywhere.

President Kitarović, if she wants to help the full equality of Croats in every part of BiH, must be aware of this fact and influence that the basis of the struggle for one's own equality rests on granting equality to others where we are the majority. Any other path brings more harm than benefit, and the story about the oldest people is malicious not only towards others in BiH, but also towards Croats. It creates a feeling in people of the right to precedence, which no one can have in BiH. Such a feeling can only deepen interethnic tensions and mistrust“, said Kojović.
