Kojović: We must not give up on the fact that Republika Srpska is our country

When the leaders of the Trojka parties went to Banja Luka on November 25th out of revolt because the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs banned the holding of a ceremonial academy organized by the SDP on the occasion of BiH Statehood Day, thus showing that they dare to go to Banja Luka after all, albeit under escort, state representative Predrag Kojović from Our Party went a step further.

A few days ago, in a conversation with Vildan Selimbegović, he commented on that situation and added:

"We must not give up on the fact that Republika Srpska is our country, Banja Luka is our city," Kojović said.

And while the state Minister of Defense Zukan Helez utters the phrase "common institutions" on Friday evening, which the Constitutional Court of BiH has also contested, Kojović sees RS as a "country". Isn't all this supporting Milorad Dodik's claim that BiH is composed of two entities and that there is a "common level".

While Dodik persistently denies the state of BiH, its statehood, autonomy, and independence, cadres from the Trojka parties, either thoughtlessly or out of some strange need to prove themselves to Dodik, are making cardinal mistakes.

This is not Kojović's only gaffe. When addressing the media after the meeting of Trojka and HDZ BiH on Tuesday in the BiH Parliament, he said that BiH was a "Spanish village in Brussels" a year ago. If that were truly the case, would BiH have received candidate status in December 2022, and is it now awaiting the final decision on the start of accession negotiations. However, for Trojka, now that they are in power, everything apparently starts with them, even though they are in coalition with "the champion of European integration" Dragan Čović, as the head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler, called him.
