The Democratic Front in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received five ministerial positions, with the understanding that they will propose a joint candidate for the Ministry of Veterans and Disabled Persons in consultations with the SDA, writes the Patria news agency.
At a meeting on Sunday with SDA Vice President Bakir Izetbegović, DF leader Željko Komšić, which was also accepted today by HDZ leader Dragan Čović, agreed that his party would receive the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
The candidate for the Minister of Finance, which had been a point of contention throughout, will be agreed upon between the DF, SDA and HDZ BiH.
The HDZ received the ministries of Transport and Communications, Health, Culture and Sports, Justice, and Spatial Planning, while the SDA will have its ministers heading the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Crafts and Development, the Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, and the Ministry of Education and Science.
The names of candidates for ministerial positions will be submitted to the President of the Federation of BiH, and then early next week a session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament will be scheduled to confirm the new composition.
