What is the fate of the General Hospital: Friends and colleagues of Izetbegović appointed to the head of UKCS

The election of the members of the Management Board of UKCS at the last session of the FBiH Government on November 12, outside the tender procedure and nine names already proposed by the Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić, showed that everything is being done to fulfill Sebija Izetbegović's wish to head the largest hospital in BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

As we have already written, out of the nine names that Minister Mandić sent to the FBiH Government, only Jasmin Kapetanović, who was appointed by the KS Government on September 11, 2015, passed into the Management Board.

As Patria learns, his stay and appointment to the position of President of the Management Board of UKCS are connected with his wife Dina Kapetanović, who is a good friend of Sebija Izetbegović. The Kapetanovićs own the "Dina" pharmacies in Sarajevo.

Although 11 members of the Management Board of UKCS were appointed on November 12 for a period of three months, and Minister Mandić claims that the tender procedure will be repeated, it is now clear that this Management Board will do everything to dismiss the current director of UKCS, Rusmir Mesihović.  

Another member of the Management Board of UKCS, Goran Stojkanović (although the official announcement of the FBiH Government states Stojaković), is connected with Izetbegović because he works as a doctor at the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", and his mother Jadranka Dizdarević-Stojkanović, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, also worked at this hospital and now runs a private practice.

In addition to this duo, the Management Board includes Benjamin Kulovac, Amer Ovčina, Feriha Ćatibušić (proposals were Mirza Dilić, Ademir Spahić, Nenad Vanis), Samir Muminović, a doctor at the Cantonal Hospital Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić and an SDA representative in the USK Assembly, Sulejman Muminović, former director of the Health Insurance Fund of Zenica-Doboj Canton and current assistant director, Nusret Popović (UKCS), Dragan Solomun, director of the Health Insurance Fund of Central Bosnia Canton (resigned at his personal request on November 26, Dalibor Kolak was appointed), Amra Karić (FMZ), and Alma Pehlić, secretary of the KS Ministry of Health.

Incidentally, Pehlić was the president of the Commission for the procedure of electing the director of JU General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" when Sebija Izetbegović was appointed over Bakir Nakaš.

In addition to these illegal actions by the FBiH Government, there are increasing rumors that the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" will be relocated to UKCS, creating a holding company, and it is rumored that the top SDA proposed that the FBiH Government move into the General Hospital building.

- It is unimaginable that someone could think that a building purpose-built for a hospital could be used as a government building. Even high-ranking SDA cadres were against this, but Bakir Izetbegović and Asim Sarajlić are not giving up on their intentions to leave the capital of BiH with only one hospital – says our source, who further claims that everything will happen within the next two months, which is the mandate of the temporary Management Board of UKCS.
