Coalition with Dodik would mean betrayal

Guest on the show Puls BN TV, SDS leader Mladen Bosić reiterated his stance that SDS will not enter a coalition with SNSD during government formation, as it would mean betraying their pre-election promise and commitment to the process of change, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). 

"If we were to enter a coalition with SNSD, we would be a means of continuing their policy. If we entered the government with SNSD, which controls the parliamentary majority, how would we initiate the process we talked about?", said Bosić.

"That is impossible. It goes against the personal interests of the people in SNSD," says Bosić and adds:

"How will you initiate the process of major scandals and major corruption when they are directly linked to the top leadership of SNSD, and now you go into coalition with them, that is simply incompatible."

Commenting on the claims of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik that he will be the axis in forming the government at the BiH level, Bosić said that Čović is Dodik's last chance.

"It's hard to be an axis with 10 deputies, that's an impossible mission. Dodik is panicking over the complete loss of influence at the BiH level," says Bosić.

The SDS leader adds that Dodik is aware that he has lost one lever. He lost the member of the BiH Presidency, he feels he is losing participation in the parliamentary majority, i.e., in the Council of Ministers, and he has exposed his relationship with Čović.

Mladen Bosić emphasized that early elections should be called because the fraud in the 2014 General Elections was obvious.

"I am surprised that the CEC did not want to repeat the vote count, and thereby fuels suspicion about the entire regularity of the electoral process," says Bosić and adds:

"Suspicion will remain about the election result and later about the legitimacy of those declared winners by the CEC."

Bosić said that SDS is not chasing seats during government formation; they have no demands for any position.

"Our goal is to dispossess those currently in power, to get positions through which we would fight against corruption and to set the wheel of change in motion," says Bosić and states that these are the positions of Minister of Finance, Minister of Police, and Minister of Justice.
