Coalition "First of March": New generation of politicians should ensure economic progress for returnees

The "First of March" Coalition continues to advocate for Bosniak political parties to field joint candidates for mayors and municipal councils in the upcoming local elections in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The SDA, SBB, DF, and SDP parties have already announced that they will field joint candidates in the 2016 local elections in Zvornik.

The "First of March" has also sent an invitation for unification to Bosniak parties in Bratunac, and next week an invitation will be sent to parties representing Bosniak returnees in Srebrenica.

Edin Ikanović from the "First of March" Coalition said that the people gathered around the coalition want to be the driving force of a completely different story about the political action of Bosniaks in eastern Bosnia.

- A new generation of politicians, when discussing the position of returnees, should talk about employment in public institutions, agricultural incentives, road construction, and ensuring quality primary education for their children. All the problems that the entire community faces are also faced by returnees, only they are additionally magnified for us because we are a discriminated group - said Ikanović.

The presidents of the local organizations of SBiH and DF, Kemo Selimović and Armin Džanić, have so far confirmed their joining the Coalition in Bratunac, writes NAP.
