Coalition 'Država!' calls on the EU to admit BiH to full membership

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The aggression against Ukraine has shown that the European Union's calculations have come to an end. Putin's Russia will not stop at Ukraine if critical points on the European continent are not urgently resolved, both security-wise and politically, among which Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most vulnerable, the Coalition 'Država!' stated in a press release.

'The Coalition Država! calls on the European Union and its institutions to admit Bosnia and Herzegovina to full membership under an urgent procedure and thus eliminate the possibility of Russian influence through Milorad Dodik further contaminating this part of Europe. We also call on other political parties that have the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina at heart to realize this initiative together and to lobby our friends in the world. We need decisiveness, and we believe that the doors of Europe will be open at this moment. Otherwise, after Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rest of the region will be next in line for the kill,' the statement reads.

We are aware, they add, that this is a historic moment when the future of Europe is being decided, and a positive attitude towards Ukraine's request for an application, and soon membership, we hope, clearly indicates that the European Union, together with its allies, will not wait for a bureaucratic approach that has suited personal interests and those who want to destroy the democratic principles on which free Europe rests for decades.

'Milorad Dodik and all those who want to be part of some Russian province must be prevented and politically removed, because his policy is pushing the Serbian people into chaos, isolation, and misery. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a vulnerable point in Europe, and membership in the European Union would put an end to numerous wars and the excess of history that we cannot digest. The citizens of this country deserve peace and the right to a prosperous future,' concluded the Coalition 'Država!'
