Who is silent, approves: Čolo, Mehmedović, Zvizdić and Čampara are the only ones to react to the SDA scandal

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - And while we await the official position of the Prosecutor's Office and information on a possible investigation into the recording showing influence peddling by Asim Sarajlić and other SDA members, it is interesting that individual reactions from SDA members have been absent. The SDA party's statement, in which they refer to the bodies that should conduct the investigation, has been perceived by the public as a provocation that reflects the wisdom of the saying – the judge sues you, the judge judges you.

Even more concerning is the silence of SDA officials. In recent days, only four SDA members have publicly condemned the events within the party and called for an investigation, and even for the dismissal of Sarajlić from the position of head of the Personnel Commission. The first to do so was Alma Čolo, a member of the SDA Presidency and a representative in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, who very clearly distanced herself from all the allegations made in the recording by her party colleagues – SDA Vice-President and head of the Personnel Commission Asim Sarajlić, Sarajevo Canton Assembly representative Sabahudin Delalić, and Muhamed Šehović.

Her colleague from the parliamentary benches, Šemsudin Mehmedović, also strongly condemned the actors of the scandalous audio recording that reveals the dirty dealings of high-ranking officials of the Party of Democratic Action.
"Not in my name! Justice and fairness, legality and legitimacy, these should be the values for elected officials at all levels and for anyone engaged in public affairs, especially for political representatives, who must have moral responsibility for their work in addition to legal responsibility. The event that has shaken the political environment in BiH, especially in the SDA, certainly deserves (as expected) my stance on it," Mehmedović stated on his Facebook profile.

Regarding the affair that is currently shaking the SDA, after the mayor of the Novi Grad municipality of Sarajevo, Semir Efendić, released a recording featuring Asim Sarajlić as the main actor and documenting "influence peddling," Denis Zvizdić, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and a high-ranking SDA member, also commented.

“I feel the need to say that I do not accept arrogant behavior, the undermining of the integrity of elections in the Sarajevo Canton, scandalous offers, the arrogant privatization of ministers, and malicious threats directed at certain local SDA committees, which were made by the actors of the audio recording,” Zvizdić wrote on his Twitter profile.

Aljoša Čampara, a member of the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), stated that this is not the value system in which he wants to participate and live. He believes that the SDA must urgently do the following:
1. The president of the personnel commission (Asim Sarajlić, author's note) must be immediately dismissed.
2. A trusteeship must be urgently introduced in the Sarajevo Canton SDA committee because the election process has been completely compromised. The actors in the recording have shown the public that they had certified ballots based on which they carried out the so-called "Bulgarian train."
3. Two ministers proposed for the Sarajevo Canton Government, who are mentioned in the recording, cannot be ministers because they present themselves as indebted to an individual, i.e., to the one who presents himself as "second only to Bakir" and who claims that ministers must act on his orders. Ministers exist to work for the benefit of citizens, not to be "servants" to individuals.
4. The Party of Democratic Action should apologize to the citizens and send a clear message that it will cleanse its ranks of such and similar individuals.
"I sincerely hope and believe that the SDA leadership, for the sake of our children's future, will have the courage to make correct and wise decisions. The homeland is defended with honesty and honor! If they do not do so, I fear we are heading into an abyss from which it will be difficult to return to the right track. Happy March 1st, Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina!" Čampara wrote. 

Although there are only four individuals, it is clear that their influence within the party is much greater, and it is realistic to expect them to persevere in their demands, as they are clearly aware that such behavior cannot go unpunished.
