Who are the best-paid officials in Republika Srpska: With a salary of 4,500, holiday pay of 1,500 KM and winter allowance of 700 KM

Duško Šnjegota, Milanko Čokorilo and Slavica Injac are the highest-paid officials appointed by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, reports the Patria news agency.

After almost six months, institutions responded to the request of the National Assembly, i.e., the Administrative Commission headed by Spomenka Stevanović, to submit the total amounts of officials' salaries.

Prompted by speculation about the enormous earnings of members of the Regulatory Commission for Energy, the National Assembly ordered the Administrative Commission back in the spring to provide data on the salary levels of all officials appointed by the RS National Assembly, after which a six-month "investigation" ensued, writes Banjaluka.net.

The data has finally been compiled these days and submitted to the deputies of the National Assembly, who will decide on the report of the Administrative Commission at the next session of parliament, scheduled for October 20.

They have it, they can afford it

Chief Auditor Duško Šnjegota, as stated in the response to the Administrative Commission, receives a base salary of 4,900 KM, while his deputy receives 4,400 KM.

In addition, Šnjegota receives holiday pay in the amount of 2,450 KM. For a hot meal, his base salary is increased by an additional 185 KM, to which should be added 0.50 percent of the base salary for each year of work experience.

Slavica Injac, director of the Banking Agency, as stated by this institution, has a monthly salary of 4,445 KM, and her deputy 3,175 KM. To this should be added holiday pay of 1,500 KM and a winter allowance of 700 KM. Her salary, according to the Law on the Agency, is determined by the board of directors of this institution.

Božana Šljivar, director of the RS Insurance Agency, receives a base salary of 3,850 KM. This amount is increased by a hot meal allowance of 150 KM, holiday pay of 1,500 KM, plus a salary increase of 0.50 percent for each year of work experience.

Members of the Regulatory Commission for Energy of Republika Srpska are also very well paid. Their now former president Milenko Čokorilo receives a net salary of 4,4320 KM, and members Mladen Štaka 4,000, Ljubo Glamočić 4,050 KM, Slobodan Rajlić 4,050 KM and Petar Munišić 3,375 KM. Once a year, they are also entitled to holiday pay of 1,500 KM.

Like deputies, members of this regulatory body have the right to receive full salary with all allowances for six months after the expiry of their term, if they do not find a job in the meantime.

The president of the RS Securities Commission, Mira Potkonjak, receives a net salary of around 4,554 KM, her deputy 3,893 KM, and members of this body 3,710 KM each.

Selman hides his salary

The now former president of the RS Concessions Commission, Predrag Aškrabić, who has since been appointed to the Regulatory Commission for Energy, did not submit data on net salaries, but only the rulebook regulating this area and the amounts of determined coefficients based on which personal income is calculated.

As he wrote, his salary is calculated based on a coefficient of 35, which means his base salary was at least 3,500 plus all other allowances.

Obrenka Slijepčević, president of the Commission for Determining Conflict of Interest, as stated in her letter, receives a total salary of 3,000 KM, and as she emphasized, she has no additional income, such as holiday pay, winter allowance, or similar benefits.

Slobodan Bošković, president of the RTRS Management Board, receives a monthly fee of 3,000 KM, while other members of this body receive 1,500 KM each. As stated in their response to the Administrative Commission, this money is paid from the budget of the public service.

The president of the Republic Election Commission of RS, Oliver Blagojević, receives a monthly fee of 1,150 KM, and members of this body 750 KM each.

Interestingly, the material submitted to the deputies also states that the president of the Constitutional Court of RS, Džerard Selman, refused to disclose the salary levels to the parliament, citing the law on this court according to which they determine their own personal income themselves.

The now former chief ombudsman, Slobodan Radulj, instead of the requested data on salary levels, only cited the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Judiciary, according to which his salary is determined by a coefficient of 27.

This means his base salary, without allowances, amounted to 2,700 KM.
