N1 has learned from sources close to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina that there are currently five or more candidates for the vacant position of President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH announced a public competition on September 5, which closed yesterday, with the possibility of applications sent yesterday still arriving, reports the Patria News Agency.

Four candidates are judges of the Court of BiH, and one or two candidates are from outside this institution. From sources close to the Court of BiH, we learned that Mira Smajlović, Ljiljana Lalović, Izo Tankić, and Branko Perić are judges of the Court of BiH who applied for the position of president of this institution.

N1 has learned that Dalida Burzić, Chief Prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, has also submitted her application for the competition.

We received a response from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina stating that the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Goran Salihović, did not apply for the competition.
