Who is spreading disinformation about the death of Sulejman Tihić?

The University Clinical Center in Sarajevo has denied the information that Sulejman Tihić, president of the Party of Democratic Action, has died, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

The head of the Public Relations Service of UKCS, Azra Dedajić, stated that Sulejman Tihić's health condition is currently stable.

- Intensive monitoring and treatment measures for patient Sulejman Tihić are still being carried out - Dedajić stated for NAP.

A news item appeared on the social network Facebook today claiming that the president of the SDA party had died at UKCS. However, doctors immediately denied this news.

It is indicative that the false news about the death of the SDA leader appeared a few weeks before the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also at a time when this party is shaken by fierce factional conflicts, writes NAP.

 The SDA president has been battling a serious illness for several years. After surgery in Germany, his health condition was stable, but two months ago he was admitted to the Heart Clinic again, in extremely serious condition. A few days later, he was returned to home treatment. Tihić was admitted to UKCS again at the end of August, and is still under constant medical supervision, writes NAP.
