SDA Sarajevo Canton: Why no criminal charges and is there a 'black list' for Abel Baltić?

(Patria) - The director of the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Center, Abel Baltić, falsified a previously signed contract in December last year, deleting its clauses, to facilitate the payment of money to a company that did not submit bank guarantees, and which is publicly associated with the SDP. Both versions of the contract are available to the media, according to a statement from the SDA Sarajevo Canton Committee.

"In an audio recording that appeared at the beginning of December, Aldin Mehić, driver for the director of the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Center, Abel Baltić, gives instructions to one of the candidates in the competition for a driver position at the Public Health Center and explains that 'it is not God or Allah who hires, but Abel!'. The candidate from that recording was ranked first on the list and is today an employee of the Public Health Center. The Cantonal Inspectorate imposed a fine of 15,000 KM due to irregularities in the work of the Public Health Center. The director ignored requests for servicing laboratory diagnostic equipment, and patient findings were signed by employees without the necessary professional qualifications. Thus, Baltić played with the lives and health of the citizens of Sarajevo Canton!", the statement said.

The SDA Sarajevo Canton Committee asks the authorities and political officials, the media, and representatives of the international community: Why did Predrag Kojović and Nermin Nikšić not file criminal charges this time against the persons from the recording that points to political corruption?

"Is the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton verifying the authenticity of the recording? Why is the media ignoring the recording, and why are they failing to call the conversation in which the director of a public institution is trading influence a scandal? Why is the American Embassy not commenting on the corrupt practices of the Trojka officials? Is there a 'black list' for Abel Baltić?!", conclude the SDA Sarajevo Canton Committee.
