SDA Sarajevo Canton: We will not participate in any improvised solutions, let the Trojka propose a new KS Government

(Patria) - The SDA Sarajevo Canton Board held a press conference regarding the tram accident and the resignation of KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk, which followed three days after the accident.

The President of the SDA Sarajevo Canton Board, Faruk Kapidžić, stated that although SDA is in opposition, it has put everything on standby.

"We have analyzed all aspects of the accident and observed the authorities' inadequate reaction to it. The authorities' silence on the accident resulted in our measured reaction and public calls for answers and accountability. After they failed in their intention of silence, and then in an attempt to shift the blame onto the driver, they directed all their capacities towards us, which is appalling," said Kapidžić.

Nermin Nikšić, the president of SDP BiH, was the first to initiate the attack on SDA, followed by the Minister of Transport, Adnan Šteta.

"Šteta, in a staged FTV program, set the coordinates for all other SDP and Trojka cadres and their bots in an attempt to save Šteta. The task was to attribute the responsibility for the tragedy to SDA, which is in opposition. On this occasion, we are not running from responsibility, but only to the extent that we were in power, and this is not an unbelievable spin that SDA has been in power for 30 years and we were never alone. What has been done now is the result of the corruption of the ruling Trojka in every segment of society. During the Trojka's mandate, corruption has exploded. Secret contracts, arrests of ministers, cartels have become political parties, ministers and directors with purchased diplomas have suddenly become experts. SDA will not participate in any improvised solutions after the fall of the Government with Uk's resignation," said Kapidžić.

Member of the Assembly, Haris Zahiragić, stated that the Trojka tried to present the tragic accident as an ordinary accident that could have happened anywhere.

"They went to the scene of the accident and coordinated the investigation with the Prosecutor's Office. Šteta gave a statement that night, and those statements were not published; we followed everything. If you look at the Prosecutor's proposal for the driver and the court's decision, you will see that a coordinated action of the prosecution, politics, and regime media is at play," said Zahiragić.

He called on the Trojka to immediately and without delay, if they have a parliamentary majority, propose a new prime minister-designate and a new government.

"We will not work with the Trojka. We are giving them a decent amount of time to establish a parliamentary majority. We have seven votes, they have 18," he said.

The Head of the Club in the KS Assembly, Mahir Dević, also expressed his condolences to the Morankić family and wished a speedy recovery to the minor girl.

"The essence is that corruption has reached its peak, coordinating all problems, and they promised something else. The responsibility of the Speaker of the Assembly is great; if there is any morality, Okerić should have resigned. The GRAS report was last at the Assembly in 2020, and since then, more than 700 million has been invested to prevent such tragedies from happening again," stated Dević.
