Who will take over management of the Federal Police Administration, the FBiH Government must enable the announcement of a competition for director

(Patria) - After the POSKOK of the Supreme Court of FBiH imposed prohibition measures on four individuals, including the acting director of the Federal Police Administration Vahidin Munjić, the question of who will lead this police agency remains open. Munjić and three other individuals have the status of suspects in the "Spengavanje" affair, and are suspected of multiple corruption-related criminal offenses.

Incidentally, the Independent Board of the Parliament of FBiH has requested information from the FBiH Government regarding the status of the competition for the director of the FUP, which was announced in 2022. Only after the Government reviews the proposed ranking list and no candidate receives support, can a new competition procedure be initiated. The position of deputy director of the FUP is also vacant. The Independent Board will hold its next session on Wednesday, November 19.

The Minister of Interior of the Federation of BiH, Ramo Isak, told FTV that the Federal Police Administration already has a solution ready for the current situation.

"The responsible person has already signed an appointment, before these measures, appointing one of the chief inspectors to the position of head of the criminal police. According to the systematization, in case the director or deputy director is absent or unavailable, the head of the criminal police can manage until the appointment of the director of the Federal Police Administration," explains Isak.

Unofficially, it is about Enes Zeljković, so the FBiH Government should prioritize resolving the new situation as early as tomorrow so that the FUP can continue to operate lawfully.

If a new competition for the director of the FUP were to be announced, the new director could not be from the Bosniak people, given that the Minister of Interior of FBiH, Ramo Isak, is from that people.

The last director of the FUP was Dragan Lukač, who retired at the beginning of 2019.
