Who will have the majority: Alliance for Change or SNSD, a question (vote) worth half a million KM

At today's constitutive session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, it will finally be known which bloc has 42 out of 83 deputies, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

The leader of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, who will take the oath as President of the RS today, claims that the coalition led by his party has 42 votes, i.e., a secured narrow parliamentary majority. 

On the other hand, the Alliance for Change of the RS also makes the same claim. At last night's extraordinary press conference, Adam Šukalo from the party Napredna Srpska remained vague, so it will not be known until the buttons are pressed at today's session which side he and his colleague will lean towards. 

- These days we have received incredible offers from both political camps, they offered us ministerial positions in the Government of the RS, the Council of Ministers, the position of President of the NS RS and the like, but we rejected everything - said Šukalo. 

After the oath-taking, a Commission for Elections and Appointments will be formed, which will propose the parliamentary leadership. It is precisely during the vote for the President of the NSRS, where the SNSD-DNS-SP coalition will propose Nedeljko Čubrilović, and the Alliance for Change of the RS will propose Dragan Čavić, that it will be seen who the "defector" deputies are and who has sided with which bloc and at what price. 

The SNSD has 29 deputies, SDS-PUP-SRS of the Republic of Srpska 24, DNS-NS-SRS eight, PDP seven, and the Coalition "Homeland", NDP and SP five each.

The session should also adopt two conclusions initiating procedures for the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska.

The constitutive session of the ninth convocation of the NSRS will be chaired by the oldest deputy, Ilija Stevančević, and he will be assisted by the youngest deputies and the Secretary General. According to the protocol, at 11:00 AM, members of the Central Election Commission will award certificates to the newly elected deputies, and the session begins at 12:00 PM.

There is great public interest in this session, given that both the ruling coalition and the opposition bloc claim to have the majority.
