Book "Come, See, Tell Further" also in Bosnian bookstores

The book by author Amel Salihbašić "Come, See, Tell Further - Bosnia and Herzegovina 30 Unforgettable Destinations" was created from the author's desire to best show a part of the natural and cultural diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina through photographs, writes the BiH news agency Patria. It came off the press in mid-May, and for the past two months, the book has been available in BiH bookstores.

- Last year, during a visit to BiH, I supplemented the photographs I already had from previous trips, and thus the book was created, which presents 30 regions with five or six attractive locations that should be visited. Just one example is the upper part of the Neretva River, where you can see rafting, Boračko Lake, the bunker, Glavatičevo – says Salihbašić, who lives and works in Vienna.

The book is divided into 30 chapters, of which 2 are dedicated to the cities of Mostar and Sarajevo, and the remaining 28 to other areas across Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the beginning of each chapter, there is a map of the area and a short introduction, followed by more detailed descriptions and more photographs of individual attractions and activities. The beauties of BiH are shown in 1,500 photographs with accompanying text.

Interestingly, this book was created only after a pilot project. Two years ago, at the urging of friends, Salihbašić created an album from photographs from previous trips around BiH to show his friends and family where he had been.

- These were photos from Sarajevo, Mostar, Jajce, Kravice waterfalls, nature... I completed the collection, visited 23 regions, and published a trial book "23 Unforgettable Days in BiH". It was printed in a small circulation, more was distributed than sold. It was in Bosnian and English and had positive reactions – explains Salihbašić, adding that the book was interesting to people living in Vienna who had no idea what BiH looked like.

- The average person doesn't have much of an image of BiH. There were pictures of the Neretva, Una, Drežnica, Buna, Bunica, Drina, Tara, Sana, Vrbas rivers. And from that, the idea for the current book was born.

The book "Come, See, Tell Further" was published in Bosnian, English, German, and Turkish. It is available in ten bookstores in Austria, and as Salihbašić told us, it is exceptionally well-positioned. Otherwise, Salihbašić studied computer engineering and started photography through his travels, writes Patria.
