SDA Club: Due to the elections of Marin Vukoja, the Trojka is trading state interests and protecting its positions

(Patria) - The ruling coalition's decision to dismiss two members of the Election and Appointment Committee from opposition parties represents a gross violation of the Rules of Procedure, the essence of which could have catastrophic far-reaching consequences for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SDA Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH announced.

"The Rules of Procedure stipulate the structure of committees proportional to the representation of political parties in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the FBiH. The ruling coalition has further deepened the disproportionate representation of parties established at the beginning of the mandate with its latest decision, all in order to enable the election of the HDZ candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH and to enable that party to control all future appointments within the jurisdiction of the Parliament of FBiH.

Instead of one member of the Committee, which it is entitled to according to the election results, the "Trojka" has enabled HDZ three positions, and with the latest move, it has also ceded an additional position to the group of parties gathered around the HDZ.

At the same time, DF and SBiH are completely excluded from the work of the Committee, and SDA has only one member. According to the election results, these three parties should have at least half of the Committee members. In this way, two-thirds of the representatives who represent the electoral will of Bosniaks are excluded from all future appointments in the Federation of BiH.

The "Trojka" parties and their partners have the right to humiliate themselves by fulfilling the wishes of HDZ BiH, but they do not have the right to derogate Parliament, violate the Rules of Procedure, and especially do not have the right to trade state interests for their positions in power.

The handover of the Election and Appointment Committee to HDZ BiH was done in order to submit only one name for the judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH to the House of Representatives, instead of a full list of successful candidates.

This certainly cannot serve as an excuse for the "Trojka" representatives to justify their support for Vukoja," the SDA Club stated.
