SDA Club: RS authorities are carrying out a coup d'état, we call on the House leadership to convene an urgent session as soon as possible

(Patria) - The intention of the RS authorities to try to repeal the valid state laws on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the HJPC, and SIPA through decisions of the National Assembly represents a direct and gross violation of the Constitution of BiH and the Dayton Peace Agreement, the SDA announced.

"All the aforementioned laws were adopted in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, mostly unanimously in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, with the support of deputies from parties based in the RS entity, including the ruling SNSD. The only way to amend or repeal these laws is through the procedure in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

The attempt by the RS authorities to repeal state laws in the territory of that Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity is nothing more than an attempted coup d'état that undermines the Dayton Peace Agreement, and jeopardizes peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

We will challenge all unconstitutional decisions adopted by the National Assembly of the RS before the Constitutional Court of BiH, as we have done every time before.

We call on the leadership of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to convene an urgent session of the House as soon as possible to discuss the current situation, at which competent institutions should provide information on measures taken against those responsible for undermining the constitutional order and jeopardizing peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is also necessary to define conclusions as a response to the attacks by the RS entity authorities on the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Once again, we demand that all institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH, react more decisively to the coup d'état being carried out by the RS entity authorities," the statement emphasizes.
