SDA Caucus Submits Initiative to Dismiss Nešić

(Patria) - The SDA Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament has submitted an initiative for the dismissal of the BiH Minister of Security, Nenad Nešić.

"The initiative for dismissal was submitted because Nešić, during a guest appearance on a Serbian television on May 21, 2024, insulted victims and denied the genocide in Srebrenica.

Nenad Nešić's latest statement is not the first outburst showing he is unworthy of the office he holds, but it is particularly offensive to the victims of genocide, making his dismissal from the position of Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina necessary.

With this statement, Nešić has committed a criminal offense prescribed by Article 145a, paragraphs 1, 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the SDA Caucus calls on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to initiate criminal proceedings against him.

The SDA Caucus requests the leadership of the House of Representatives to include the dismissal initiative on the agenda of the first upcoming session, and we expect representatives from other parliamentary parties, especially those who voted for Nešić's appointment to the position of BiH Minister of Security, to support the said initiative", announced the SDA Caucus
