SDA Club: The Troika Tries to Hide Disastrous Results and Subservience to Dodik and Čović with Lies

(Patria) - Instead of adopting the Budget of BiH Institutions for 2025 and discussing the content of the Reform Agenda, which they persistently hide from the public, the ruling coalition used yesterday's session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to shift responsibility, engage in mutual accusations, and spread falsehoods, the SDA Club announced.

"Although we are approaching the last quarter, the current government has not yet adopted the Budget of BiH Institutions for this year, without which there can be no increase in salaries for soldiers, police officers, and other state employees.

They are also not allowing a discussion on the Reform Agenda, the content of which they are hiding and from which, according to available information, key reforms such as the appointment of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the obligation to respect all judgments, as well as the abolition of the ethnic veto or the adoption of the state gas law, have been deleted according to the wishes of Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović.

The representatives of the Troika tried to hide these facts with falsehoods and senseless accusations against the SDA representatives and the rest of the opposition.

Frustrated by the fact that, as part of the ruling coalition, they have no say, and after having previously fulfilled all the wishes of SNSD and HDZ BiH, the Troika wants to dictate to SDA representatives whether and how to vote. They did not consult the SDA Club at all on the agenda items they proposed, such as the Decision on forming the Negotiator's Office and the dismissal of Marinko Čavara from the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, nor did they do anything to ensure a sufficient majority for the adoption of these decisions, which speaks volumes about the seriousness and sincerity of their intentions.

The adoption of laws and other decisions is primarily the responsibility of the ruling coalition. Despite this, thanks to the votes of SDA representatives, and by ensuring the entity majority from Republika Srpska, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Labor in BiH Institutions, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on the Basics of Road Traffic Safety in BiH, and the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Asylum were adopted.

Just as they agreed on the distribution of positions and appointments, including Marinko Čavara, whom the Troika actually appointed and now supposedly wants to dismiss, the current government is obliged to agree on decisions that are truly important for citizens, such as the European path, reforms, and the budget.

It is completely clear that the populist speeches of the Troika representatives and the attacks on the SDA serve to divert attention from the disastrous results of the current government's work and its inferiority compared to coalition partners from SNSD and HDZ."
