(Patria) - The SDA MPs' Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has submitted a proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the parliamentary procedure.
"The aim of these amendments to the Law is to enable BHRT to be co-financed from the Budget of BiH Institutions in order to cover the shortfall for the normal functioning of the Public Service.
Namely, as is known, BHRT has been facing serious operational difficulties for a long time, which is why they have approached various authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This problem has been further complicated by the entry into force of the FBiH Government's Decision on the minimum wage in the amount of 1000 KM, which has led to the obligation to harmonize salaries for 65% of BHRT employees, and this has put this Public Service in a particularly difficult situation.
This proposal, if adopted, would enable funds to be allocated in the Budget for 2025, which could be activated upon BHRT's request to cover the shortfall necessary for the normal functioning of the BHRT Public Service.
The SDA Club has requested that these amendments to the Law be considered under an urgent procedure at the next session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the SDA Club announced.
