DF Club: Reduce politicians' salaries in TK by 60 percent and pay it to miners of RMU Kreka

(Patria) - The Democratic Front caucus in the Tuzla Canton Assembly submitted an Initiative for the complete abolition of lump sums and a 60% salary reduction (to the minimum wage in FBiH) for all deputies and the Prime Minister of TK, all ministers in the Government, i.e., the Assembly of Tuzla Canton, in favor of the miners of RMU Kreka.

"The Government of TK, headed by the Prime Minister of TK, is obliged to proceed as soon as possible with permanent amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the bodies of TK, which would abolish all lump sums and allowances and reduce salaries for all deputies and ministers by 60 percent (to the minimum wage in FBiH) in the Assembly and Government of TK in favor of the miners of RMU Kreka," the Initiative states.

"Given the difficult status of the miners of RMU Kreka and the 'open letters' of support, we propose that through this initiative we express solidarity with the miners in a concrete way. This type of assistance in the amount of 1,728,000 KM, which is allocated for the salaries of deputies and ministers on an annual basis, would significantly improve the status of the Kreka miners," the explanation reads.
