Club members considered the proposal for a candidate for the position of Chairperson, i.e., Deputy Chairperson of the USK Assembly from the Bosniak people, and unanimously supported the candidacy of Jasmin Hušić.
Hušić says he expects the leadership election process to be completed without difficulties, emphasizing that formal confirmation in the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton now follows.
- The Club unanimously proposed me as a candidate and made such a decision. We expect that after this, the confirmation of the complete leadership by the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton will follow, and there should be no problems there - Hušić stated.
Speaking about the reasons why the previous Chairperson did not resign earlier, Hušić stated that some Club members raised this issue during the session, considering that his legitimacy ceased the moment the Bosniak Club withdrew its support.
According to his words, since May 25, 2026, the previous Chairperson Nisvet Jusić no longer has the legitimacy to represent the Bosniak Club in the leadership of the USK Assembly, which is why it was necessary to initiate the procedure for electing a new representative of this club in the cantonal legislative body.
