Klas raspberries in baby food of French brand "Danone"

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food industry company Klas d.d. Sarajevo is realizing the export of 40 tons of raspberries that will be included in the baby food of the renowned French brand Danone, it was announced from Klas, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Raspberry samples arrived at the research center in Germany from several countries around the world, and only Klas raspberries met the strictest quality criteria for baby food. The export for Danone was realized through the German company Crop's.

This is another proof that Bosnian and Herzegovinian raspberries are among the best in the world, and that the production and processing of raspberries and other berries should receive special attention in the development of the entire food industry.

At the same time, by securing such deals in foreign markets and cooperating with leading global companies, Klas is an example that domestic brands can be better than the fierce competition that prevails in global markets.

As stated by the director of the Klas company, Rusmir Hrvić, not everything is bleak, and it is not true that domestic brands have nothing to offer.

- Every day, Bosnian and Herzegovinian producers win battles in foreign markets in a competition that is fierce, but fair, which cannot be said with certainty for the conditions prevailing in our market. Klas is proof that when we all unite in a project, prioritize the best we have in BiH, improve domestic resources, and apply our knowledge, success for the benefit of everyone in that chain is guaranteed - said Hrvić.

Klas purchased 665 tons of raspberries and other berries and forest fruits from domestic producers this year, successfully returning to the fruit purchasing business. A few days ago, the export of 50 tons of raspberries and 10 tons of wild blueberries to the Turkish market was realized.

- As time goes by, it will be easier to export domestic brands than to sell them here. This should serve as a warning to all of us. And I really don't know what else needs to happen for those responsible to finally protect domestic producers - emphasizes Hrvić.
