Klas increased flour sales by more than 90 percent in the first 10 months

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food industry company Klas d.d. Sarajevo increased its flour production and sales by 93 percent in the first ten months of this year compared to the same period last year, reports the BiH news agency Patria. 

All types of Klas wheat flour are recording increased sales, both in domestic and foreign markets, with Zlatni puder, Klas flour type 500, and type 750 leading the way.

The quality and strength of the brand have come to the fore. In the past six months, we have managed to utilize the capacities of the Klas mill, which they say is the best in this part of Europe. We have returned to the store shelves, and now further increasing our share in the domestic flour and pastry market lies ahead. There is no pie without Klas flour,” said Rusmir Hrvić, director of Klas d.d. Sarajevo, on that occasion.

Klas flour is produced from the best wheat varieties and is specially adapted for developing dough, as well as dishes and pastries from our region, such as pies, flatbreads, and homemade cakes. Wheat processing takes place in the largest and most modern mill in Southeast Europe, with a capacity of 450 tons per day. The entire production process is automated, and at no point is the wheat needed for production exposed to risks that could compromise its technological and health quality.

“We are ready to meet Klas's complete needs for wheat, as well as other grains, fruits, and vegetables, primarily from domestic producers, in order to develop the domestic economy. This could mean opening new jobs in the primary agricultural production sector. With food production capacities of 140,000 tons per year, Klas is a company of state importance, and we are ready to put all available food production capacities at the service of the development of the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Hrvić.
