Klas donated flour for the needs of the "Duje" Reception Center

Bosnian-Herzegovinian food industry Klas d.d. Sarajevo donated flour to the International Forum of Solidarity-EMMAUS. It is 5,000 kg of flour that this socially responsible company donated for the needs of the users of the "Duje" Reception Center in Klokotnica, Doboj Istok, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

This Reception Center is one of the most significant projects of MFS-EMMAUS. It was formed as a place for the care and rehabilitation of vulnerable categories of the population in BiH. The Center accommodates 424 users with various socio-health pathologies from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Center consists of seven pavilions, with areas adapted according to the gender and category of users, including water and heating, a day room, a kitchen, a dining room, and a bakery.

- We are pleased that such a reputable company in BiH as Klas has recognized the importance of our humanitarian work, and I thank them for this valuable donation. The Reception Center's kitchen prepares up to 1,900 meals daily for users and employees, and the bakery produces 480 loaves of bread every day, so this flour will greatly help in our further work - stated the director of MFS-EMMAUS, Hamzalija Okanović.

MFS-EMMAUS also takes care of the People's Kitchen in Doboj, where more than 6,000 meals are distributed monthly to citizens in need, so this valuable donation from Klas will significantly facilitate the work of this kitchen as well.
