Klas produces 400,000 kg of flour daily, we will not increase product prices

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Klas company has the duty and obligation to address the current situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and present the true facts regarding its operations, production, prices and the efforts that Klas employees are making to supply their customers and loyal consumers, it was announced today from Klas.

"Klas produces flour every day at its maximum capacity of approximately 400,000 kg per day and promptly sends it to retailers across BiH without interruption. Every day we pack and deliver pasta, bread and pastries, as well as other products from our wide production range. We have enough wheat, which we regularly replenish from our suppliers despite the difficult circumstances and rising grain prices in surrounding markets. In parallel, we are looking for new transportation methods for the wheat already purchased. Although we are facing increased raw material prices from some suppliers, as a socially responsible company that cares about its community, we will not increase the prices of our products, neither flour nor other groceries.

Our retail outlets Bazar and Klas markets have not increased and will not increase prices. Other retail chains determine the prices of food products on the shelves themselves.

Klas Velepekara (large bakery) is sufficiently supplied with raw materials and packaging and will not cease operations. In the Velepekara assortment, we have several types of bread that are packaged in hygienic packaging, through an automated production process, without human touch and with additional pasteurization, which ensures additional hygienic correctness, freshness and shelf life of these products for up to 30 days. These breads are known as Skockani Klasovi breads – we offer Bosnian, Golden, Sarajevo sliced, Scandinavian and Londoner, and they are an excellent alternative for creating flour reserves as they can be consumed fresh for up to 30 days.

In addition to these breads, High-protein and diabetic bread (packaged in the same way) have a shelf life of 7 days.
