Funeral prayer held for Prijedor victims

A collective funeral prayer for Prijedor victims was held at the Bratstvo stadium in Kozarac, with remains mostly exhumed from the Tomasica mass grave. The victims will be buried in eight Prijedor and Kozarac cemeteries.

The youngest victim to be buried is Elvis Šarčević (13), and the oldest is Salih Kadirić (77). Among the victims are 12 minors, all of whom were killed in the summer of 1992.

The collective funeral prayer was led by the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović. Previously, addresses were given by representatives of the Catholic Church and the Islamic Community, as well as representatives of the victims' families. The coffins with the remains of 283 Bosniaks and one Croat were brought from Sanski Most to the Bratstvo stadium yesterday.

The Federal Government has made a decision declaring July 20th as a Day of Mourning.
