Rain and strong wind hamper traffic, with larger amounts of water on roads in some places

(Patria) - Rain and, in some places, strong wind are making traffic difficult on road routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Due to positive air temperatures, the snow that fell over the past weekend is melting, so on some roads we warn of larger amounts of water that are accumulating.

Fog reduces visibility on road routes: Ormanica-Gradačac, Živinice-Banovići-Ribnica, Živinice-Kladanj, as well as in some places along the Bosna river valley. We draw attention to rockfalls on the roadway. We appeal to drivers to be extremely cautious and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

Rehabilitation of a landslide is underway at the Sijeračke stijene location on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where from 08:00 to 17:00 there will be traffic stops lasting up to 45 minutes.

Works are also ongoing on the sections: Semizovac-Olovo, Zavidovići-Vozuća (at the Krivaja location), Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Jablanica-Blidinje (Jablanica-Kosne Luke), Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići site), Gacko-Foča (at Sastavci), as well as at the entrance to Neum.

At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles are short.

Due to passenger registration under the new system for exiting and entering European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer waiting times are possible at border crossings.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Freight vehicles can travel via the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends they can cross during the 22:00 to 06:00 period).

Due to the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the transport of explosive materials is prohibited on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
