Cyprus and BiH have no open issues, strengthening economic and tourism cooperation

(Patria) - The Presidency of BiH met today with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.

Members of the Presidency of BiH expressed satisfaction with the visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and emphasized that the relations between the two countries are friendly, good, and without open issues. The belief was expressed that today's visit will contribute to the further deepening of friendly relations and cooperation.

At the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in continuing and strengthening the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Cyprus, for mutual benefit and prosperity. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of strengthening economic cooperation, with an emphasis on the areas of tourism and trade, and opening new opportunities for investment.

Gratitude was expressed to Cyprus for its support on the path to the EU and for the offered technical and other forms of assistance to BiH in obtaining full membership in the EU. In this context, the expectation was expressed that progress will be made on Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path during Cyprus's presidency of the European Union in the first half of 2026.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, said that today's visit is a confirmation of the friendly relations between the two countries. He expressed his intention to improve all aspects of cooperation, especially on the economic level, by organizing business forums in areas of common interest.
