China secures tractors for flood-affected areas

In Sarajevo, the keys to the first tractor from the agricultural machinery donation by the Government of the People's Republic of China were handed over, intended to aid areas affected by catastrophic floods in the Zenica-Doboj, Tuzla, and Posavina cantons, reports the Patria news agency.

On behalf of the office of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, this was done by advisor Ivica Mladina, and for the local community of Šerići, the tractor was received by Derviš Kovačević.

In addition to the tractors, local communities and farmers' associations from the affected areas will also receive appropriate attachments to at least somewhat mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster that struck them. Besides the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, part of the donation was handed over in the Republika Srpska and the Brčko District.
