(Patria) - China's representative to the UN, Fu Cong, announced that the country will vote against the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica at today's session of the UN General Assembly.
- The resolution is not aligned and does not serve reconciliation within BiH, but also in the countries of the region that want peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
China will have no alternative but to vote against the draft resolution - said Cong, adding that his country has always respected the sovereignty and independence of BiH, but also assessed that it is a controversial document.
Representatives of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua also announced their vote against the Srebrenica Resolution today.
Among other things, they stated that "The Resolution does not have consensus and will not support reconciliation in BiH and the region, as it does not represent the views of all inhabitants".
