(Patria) - State deputies Safet Kešo, and then Saša Magazinović, at today's session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, asked the Deputy Minister of Security of BiH, Ivica Bošnjak, about the Centre for Counter-Terrorism opened by the Ministry of Interior of Hungary in Banja Luka, in the premises of the Training Centre of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska in Zalužani.
Kešo said that this information has unsettled half the country.
"Do you interpret this as empty and insufficiently clear legal procedures. Have you planned to take any measures regarding this case?", Kešo asked.
Ivica Bošnjak immediately responded, stating that the Ministry of Security of BiH was not involved nor participated in the process of establishing the Centre for Counter-Terrorism, nor did it receive any information through official channels.
He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary have a signed agreement on combating terrorism, drug trafficking, and organized crime, which was ratified in 2005, and that any cooperation can take place within the framework of that agreement.
He added that they have contacted relevant police and security institutions but have not yet received all the information.
Kešo further commented on the situation, stating that the Ministry of Security of BiH should have verified all information about the opening of this Centre.
Saša Magazinović said that the Ministry of Security does not possess the memorandum that was signed on August 3rd last year.
“The MS doesn't even have the memorandum. We should question such things. Provide us with the memorandum based on which activities are being carried out, given that these are international activities", Magazinović said.
Bošnjak stated that he still does not have all the answers, and once he receives them in writing, he will provide the deputies with the answers.
