Kebo wrote to Budimir: Prcić is under several criminal charges

The Vice President of the Federation of BiH Mirsad Kebo sent a letter to the President of the FBiH Živuk Budimir informing him that he will not give consent to the appointment of Denis Prcić to head the Securities Commission, which Budimir has been advocating for a long time, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Kebo cites several facts as the reason for his stance, including that Prcić is under several criminal charges and that his appointment deliberately disrupts the national structure in this important institution.

- I have a clear and explicit position that Mr. Prcić does not meet the ethical criteria for a member of the Commission, which is also known to the public. I am adding the fact that appointments must not be made on the principle of nepotism. The fact that for the second time, despite your obligation, you do not respect the national structure in the composition of the Commission is also shocking - Kebo stated in the letter.

The Vice President of the FBiH explains that Budimir has disregarded Bosniaks, as the most numerous constituent people in BiH, even when appointing judges to the Constitutional Court of the FBiH, and is now doing the same with the Securities Commission, where Budimir's proposal includes only one Bosniak, Adnan Zukić.

- As the Vice President of the Federation of BiH, from the Bosniak people, I refuse to give you consent to your proposed decision in the composition: Denis Prcić, Matej Živković, Leon Begić, Adnan Zukić, and Milorad Rajlić - says Kebo.

He states that Budimir's firm advocacy for appointing Prcić to head the Securities Commission obstructs the obligation to appoint this Commission.

- Your candidate Prcić is under several criminal charges, both professional and private, and does not meet the criteria for my consent. If, for reasons known to you, you consistently advocate for him and thereby prevent the formation of the Commission, then explain your reasons to the Parliament of the FBiH, other relevant institutions, and the public - Kebo states in his letter, reports Patria.
